Hungary closed its borders on 1st September due to increasing numbers of new infections. The entry of Germans, among others, is no longer possible. Exceptions are only made for Hungarian citizens, for persons who can prove a long-term right of residence in Hungary of more than 90 days or for travel for essential reasons (court proceedings, funeral, etc.).
