„Living Culture!“ in focus

In 2019, the RDA Group Travel Expos leading theme is “Living Culture!” Following Magic Nature in 2018, we would like to motivate our exhibitors once again with a topical trending theme. “Living Culture!” does not only mean advanced civilisation such as museums, concert halls or world heritage sites, but rather involves creating packages that put living authenticity – any kind of culture – into diverse travel experiences”, says Benedikt Esser. This could involve a wide spectrum of programme building-blocks, from a brewery visit or a visit to a chocolate factory for example to experiencing specific urban quarters from an insider perspective or a specially themed pub crawl.

Added to this are extraordinary experiences created by encounters and conversations with local people. “This creates group experiences and dynamics that reach far beyond the ordinary – enabling tour operators to stand out from their competition”, emphasises Esser. “Living Culture!” also means experiencing with all the senses. Such memorable travel experiences enjoy a long-lasting resonance for tour participants.
