Successful tour guiding seminar and examinations in Bremen

25 participants attended this year’s RDA Academy ‘Qualified Tour Guiding’ seminar from 28th to 31st January 2016 in the Hanseatic city of Bremen. The seminar was presented and delivered by RDA legal consultant, Prof. Dr. Harald Bartl, and by RDA CEO, Dieter Gauf. 20 candidates sat the ensuing Tour Guide Certificate examination on 1st and 2nd February 2015 (in conjunction with the Federal Association of the German Tourism Industry and University of Applied Sciences Bremen).

The Tour Guide ID and Tour Guiding Certificate serve as proof of qualifications for tour guides who are not only based in Germany but who also offer their guiding skills and services throughout the European Union. The RDA Academy seminar is, therefore, not only of interest and benefit to persons hoping to gain official German tour guiding certification but also to tour guides working with German coach tourism groups in non-German destinations. It offers a sound foundation to guiding German groups abroad and is an ideal supplement to whatever national qualifications tour guides in e.g. Great Britain, Ireland, Cyprus, Malta, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Canada or the U.S.A. may already have. More than 530 certificates have already been conferred to-date by the University of Applied Sciences Bremen.
