News from LEGOLAND® Deutschland Resort - new attractions in 2013

In 2013 coach and group tourism operators can look forward to two new major attractions at LEGOLAND® Deutschland Resort in the Bavarian town of Günzburg: the interactive Temple X-pedition ride and the Knight’s Castle in LEGOLAND Holiday Village.

True to the LEGOLAND motto “Play your part”, visitors can look forward to some exciting new attractions – ready for the season’s kick-off on 23rd March 2013. The newly created KINGDOM OF THE PHARAOHS promises plenty of thrills and spills. The highlight of the 6,000 square metre site is an indoor Temple X-pedition ride, for which intrepid explorers board a jeep on an interactive treasure hunt through the temple’s dark interior.

Action-packed experience and lots of creative building fun also await young and old throughout the rest of the theme park. Visitors can brave the Flying Ninjago, a turbulent flying attraction at an incredible height of 22 metres, to find out what it feels like to loop-the-loop. Budding oceanographers are invited to explore the fascinating underwater world of LEGOLAND ATLANTIS by SEA LIFE, with real sharks, rays and tropical marine life, and budding pirates can have a splash battle on the high seas with Captain Nick in PIRATE LAND.

Creativity and dexterity are what’s needed at the various LEGO® building centres. Among the LEGO factory, where visitors can watch how the famous bricks are created, MINILAND is a must-see. This is where visitors find famous landmarks of European cities, not to mention the STAR WARS™ universe recreated using millions of LEGO bricks.

The park, with its eight adventure worlds boasting over 50 attractions, workshops and shows, as well as accurate detailed models made using 55 million LEGO bricks, offers visitors such a wide range of entertainment options. From the 2013 season on, those wishing to prolong their visit can stay overnight in the splendid new Knight’s Castle in the LEGOLAND Holiday Village. The 34 knights’ rooms have been lovingly designed and fitted out with several LEGO models. From their rooms, maidens and knights can enjoy a wonderful view of the Holiday Village lake and surrounding woodland. Those, however, who would rather stay overnight as racing drivers, pirates, or Ancient Egyptians have a choice of 72 themed holiday houses.

2013 season: 23rd March to 3rd November, 10.00 a.m. to 18.00 p.m., extended opening times at weekends, during school holidays and on public holidays.
