New Data Protection Law: European General Data Protection Regulation 2018

A new European General Data Protection Regulation was agreed in December 2015. This has led to a comprehensive integration of European data protection legislation. On 25th May 2018, the new EU Data Protection legislation will come into effect. This has many consequences for RDA members who should be very much aware of what changes will be relevant to their businesses and what additional costs may be involved.
Prof. Dr. Harald Bartl, tourism law expert will give the seminar “New Data Protection Law: European General Data Protection Regulation 2018” on 1st March 2018 at the RDA Head Office in Cologne. Prof. Dr. Bartl will explain which of the numerous changes should be absolutely heeded and observed because violations could lead to substantial fines.
This new RDA-Academy seminar is geared to tour operators and suppliers such as hotels, shipping and insurance companies. It is a must for most RDA members – and while it will be presented in German language, the RDA still advises member companies outside the German-speaking countries to send a German-speaking member of staff to participate. This will be a very good investment.
