Press Service

Journalists are supported in their work by a broad range of services. In alphabetical order:

Accreditation

All journalists who would like to report on the RDA-Workshop, coach tourism and / or the tourism sector are very welcome to attend. Accreditation takes place at the Press desk. You will require either your press identification card or a written instruction from your editorial office – the latter in conjunction with photo identification (e.g. ID card, passport).

Business cards and employee IDs etc. are not sufficient for identification purposes. Media representatives with sales-orientated or advertising sales functions are kindly requested to purchase entrance tickets at the visitor desks.

Press accreditation forms may be obtained from our press desk staff. Please fill out your press accreditation form clearly and accurately. These forms also serve to maintain and update our address database.

Accredited journalists have free entry to the RDA-Workshop and to the Press Centre on all three days of the exhibition.

Appointments

The Press Centre coordinates appointments with exhibitors, with Members of the RDA Board of Directors, with RDA International Coach Tourism Federation Management and with the RDA-Workshop organisers. Please contact our Press Centre staff in person or per telephone if you are not on the premises (see Telephone Numbers).

Exhibitors who are (only) available at set times for press appointments are listed correspondingly in the Calendar.

Bank

A cash dispenser is available in the Foyer of the Main Entrance East Halls (Osthallen Haupteingang). EC and all major credit cards are accepted. The Foyer is connected to Halls 10.1/10.2 and to the CCO (Congress-Centrum Ost / Congress Centre East) via an escalator.

Bulletin

A summary of the previous day’s RDA-Workshop news and developments is available from 11am on 28th July 2010 and 29th July 2010. This Bulletin is also available in the Press Centre.

The concluding report on the RDA-Workshop 2010 is available. It contains key results of the RDA-Workshop Visitor Survey.

First results of the RDA-Workshop Visitor Survey are presented at the concluding press conference. The full report is released by end-August. Results of the RDA-Workshop Exhibitor Survey are published mid-October.

Congress Centre East

The Press Centre and six conference rooms are located on the second floor of the Congress Centre East or CCO.  The majority of press conferences are held here. The CCO adjoins Hall 10 and is connected to the entrances via escalators and lifts. The diagram on the right hand side shows the room plan.

You may have 4c colour photocopies made there, you can also place orders for extensive and / or large-format copies. Only small amounts of DIN A 4 photocopies may be made in the Press Centre.

Parking

Cars may be parked free-of-charge on the parking deck of Hall 10 (formerly Hall 14). A special parking area is reserved for media representatives near the car park entrance. Please show your press identification to the security staff in order to gain access to these spaces. You may, however, be directed to a parking space in the adjacent visitor car park. Lifts and escalators lead from the parking deck entrance to the Press Centre (2nd floor) and to the exhibition hall entrances (1st floor).

Photo Services

Photo material from the RDA-Workshop will be placed on the press pages. Should you have special picture requirements or should you require picture material ahead of time then please speak to our Press Centre staff. We will arrive at a satisfactory solution.

Press Calender

Exclusive press appointments (conferences, discussions, interviews etc.) and all freely accessible events (hospitality, forums, lectures, presentations etc.) are chronologically listed in the Press Calendar.

Press conferences are also briefly listed in the Press Conference ‘Avis’  supplement to the Press Calendar (themes, contents, operators, speakers) – insofar as details have been submitted by editorial deadline.

Press Centre

The Press Centre is located on the 2nd floor of the Congress Centre East.

Conference rooms, a press lounge, a work area and RDA-Workshop GmbH Press & Publicity Dept. offices form a single entity.

Most RDA-Workshop conferences and meetings are held in the Conference Rooms (see Calendar). The Press Lounge is laid out as an area for individual discussions and for reading.  Koelnmesse Service supplies coffee, cold drinks and small snacks.

Lockers for files and small bags are situated at the entrance to the Press Lounge. Use of lockers is free-of-charge. The work area is situated at the rear and divided up by partition walls.

Services outside the Press Centre: E-mails may be called up or sent free-of-charge at the RDA-Workshop GmbH information stand (in the Foyer of Halls 10.1/10.2, across from the lifts). See relevant key words for Office materials, Bank(omat) and Copyshop.

Press Desk

Staff at Counter Nr. 39 in the Foyer to Halls 10.1 and 10.2 are responsible for journalists. The Press Desk is staffed on all exhibition days from 9am.
Press Desk staff look after accreditation and provide directions, exhibition catalogue (printed version or CD-ROM), Press Calendar and Press Conference Avis.

Press Folders and Press Releases

Over 80 exhibitors reserve a display shelf for their press material in the Press Centre. You can also receive Bulletins and regular RDA-Workshop GmbH press information there.

The Press Calendar and Press Conference Avis are additionally available at the Press Desk in the Foyer of Hall 10.

You can read and download all RDA-Workshop GmbH publications in the press pages. The digital versions also include photos and graphics in contrast to printed versions available during the course of the exhibition (see Data Transmission).
