„Ready for take-off“ and for group travel success!

Cologne, 20th July 2010: the preparations for the RDA-Workshop 2010 are now heading into the final stretch. Over 1,150 exhibitors - including some 200 newcomers - are ‘ready for take-off’ and to enter into discussions and business with coach and group tourism operators. A characteristic of the 36th RDA-Workshop: its dialogue potential - over and above traditional stand visits - is attracting more circles than ever before!

’Talking Together’ Forum: over 90 x topics of discussion

Over 90 themes have been registered for the ‘Talking Together’ podiums in Halls 10.1 and 10.2 of the exhibition. They offer plenty of broad topics for discussion for all RDA-Workshop participants. All systems are go e.g. for contributions about the ‘Cycling Tourism’ special RDA-Workshop offers campaign. The German Cycling Club (ADFC) illustrates why cycling is ‘sexy’ for the group travel sector. Valuable impulses for marketing are entailed in themes such as Bus & Flight, Dialogue Marketing, Printing Travel Documentation, Insurance Law and Climate Neutral Coach Holidays. The RDA itself will present useful information on its federation work and activities, on the RDA Academy and on the RDA Bus Intervent accident support service. Together with the German Federal Society of Seniors Organisation (BAGSO) – the RDA will also present information around the seniors marketing theme. A brochure with a full overview of themes and schedules will be distributed at the RDA-Workshop. Information boards at the ‘Talking Together’ Forum areas will inform about timings, speakers and themes.

‘Cycling Tourism’ offers campaign
This year’s special RDA-Workshop offers campaign has also done its homework well: around 50 exhibitors are participating with group programmes and /or corresponding stand designs. Trade visitors can come to expect best opportunities for enriching their tour catalogues with this trendy theme. Target-group specific group programme ideas will needless to say be a matter of course since the range of offers covers both moderate cyclists and active bikers.

RDA Evening with ‘Hairspray’: a super response
Hall party or gala evening in an external location? This question is hotly discussed at every RDA-Workshop. The 2010 concept has, however, hit the mark. An all-time record number of 800 reservations has already been made for the ‘Hairspray’ musical performance and networking party afterwards. ‘We are delighted with this excellent response!  The RDA Evening is an RDA-Workshop centrepiece’, says a happy Karin M. Kohls, Managing Director of the RDA-Workshop Touristic Service GmbH.

This comprehensive and rich concept ensures that working all three RDA-Workshop days will be well worth while – reason enough to ensure with ‘Stand Checks’ that all stands are occupied to the close of the exhibition.  ‘This initiative was introduced in 2009 and was welcomed by the vast majority of trade visitors and exhibitors. A very good reason to maintain this approach in 2010 in order to ensure a well frequented RDA-Workshop right up to the very last minute’ says Karin M. Kohls.
